Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has opened up about her emotional visit to a free mental health facility operated by Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, saying the experience deeply moved her and strengthened her commitment to supporting people living with mental illness.
In a post shared on her official Facebook page, the actress revealed that touring the centre for mentally challenged individuals left her emotional and more aware of the struggles many patients endure daily.
According to Regina Daniels, interacting with patients and listening to their stories was both heartbreaking and inspiring.
“Honestly, it was one of the most emotional experiences for me,” she wrote, adding that the visit “awakened” her to the harsh realities faced by people battling mental health challenges.
The actress described the facility as a place of hope, praising the work being done by the outreach and its founder, Evangelist Ebuka Obi, in providing free care and rehabilitation for vulnerable individuals abandoned on the streets.
She said the visit also brought her joy after witnessing the transformation in the lives of some of the patients receiving treatment at the centre.
Regina Daniels further expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute support toward the initiative, while thanking God for the chance to be part of what she described as an impactful humanitarian cause.
She used the opportunity to encourage more Nigerians to support charitable causes, especially those focused on mental health care and rehabilitation.
According to her, people living with mental illness deserve love, treatment, care, and a second chance at life.
