All Progressives Congress National Secretariat has reportedly directed electoral committees handling the party’s National Assembly direct primaries not to announce results at the state level after the conduct of the exercise.
The warning comes ahead of the party primaries scheduled for Monday, with the APC leadership insisting that only the national headquarters in Abuja is authorised to officially announce the outcome of the elections.

According to party sources, the directive was issued to ensure uniformity, transparency and proper coordination of the primary process across affected states and senatorial districts.
The development is believed to be part of efforts by the party leadership to avoid conflicting results, misinformation and possible disputes that could arise from unauthorized announcements by local electoral officials.
Party members and political observers are expected to closely monitor the conduct of the primaries, especially in highly contested districts where tensions have continued to rise ahead of the exercise.
The APC leadership has also urged all electoral committees and stakeholders to strictly adhere to the party’s constitution and approved guidelines throughout the process.
