Julius Berger Services Nigeria Limited has stepped up efforts to attract investors, importers, and exporters to the Warri Port, showcasing its Multipurpose Terminal as a strategic centre for trade, logistics, and industrial growth in Nigeria.
The company said its Multipurpose Terminal (Terminal C), located within the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) complex in Warri, is equipped with the infrastructure, security systems, and operational capacity required to support increased commercial activities and strengthen regional trade.
Management of the terminal disclosed this during a facility tour by members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, where officials highlighted the terminal’s contributions to maritime trade and logistics services.
Speaking during the visit, the Commercial Manager in charge of Multipurpose Vessels, Mr. Runyon Baldomar, dismissed claims that Warri Port was inactive, insisting that the port remains operational and continues to receive vessels and cargo consignments regularly.
According to him, the terminal recently received two vessels within a week and is currently handling another vessel, while maintaining an average cargo clearance period of 48 hours.
“Warri Port is active and functioning efficiently. We continue to receive vessels and process cargoes regularly, providing reliable services to our clients,” Baldomar said.
He noted that the facility offers a wide range of services, including general cargo handling, container logistics, warehousing, oversized cargo management, and specialized support for the oil and gas industry.
Baldomar added that the port’s strategic location gives it a competitive advantage in serving markets across Nigeria’s South-South and South-East regions.
Also speaking, the Head of Clearing at the terminal, Mr. Olise Fidelis, assured prospective investors and cargo owners of the safety of their goods, stressing that the facility operates under strict security measures supervised by relevant government agencies, including the Nigeria Customs Service.
He further disclosed that the terminal has maintained a zero-accident record through adherence to rigorous safety and operational standards.
On the economic potential of the facility, Mr. Ikubor Akpevwe said the terminal could play a significant role in expanding trade, attracting investments, and reducing logistics bottlenecks for businesses operating in the Niger Delta and other parts of the country.
He urged importers, exporters, and maritime stakeholders to take advantage of the opportunities available at the port.
Terminal Operations Manager, Mr. Inusa Zuberu, reaffirmed the facility’s readiness to accommodate increased cargo volumes and expanded commercial activities.
He called on investors and businesses seeking efficient maritime and logistics solutions to consider the Julius Berger Multipurpose Terminal, noting that ongoing investments and a commitment to operational excellence are positioning Warri Port as a key trade and logistics hub.
According to Zuberu, the terminal is well positioned to support job creation, stimulate commerce, and attract fresh investments into Nigeria’s maritime sector. This version reads more like a professional newspaper or online news report while retaining all key facts and attributions.
