The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has congratulated former Senator James Manager, PhD, on the occasion of his 66th birthday, describing him as “an institution of legislative excellence and a pillar of Delta politics.”
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, on Tuesday, Guwor paid glowing tribute to the former lawmaker’s remarkable contributions to legislative governance and political development in Delta State and Nigeria.
The Speaker noted that Senator Manager’s two decades of service in the National Assembly, from 2003 to 2023, remain one of the longest and most distinguished legislative careers in the history of Delta State and Nigeria.
According to Guwor, Manager’s time in the Senate was marked by consistency, exceptional institutional knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to the development of Delta State and the Niger Delta region.
“Senator Manager’s tenure in the Senate was defined by consistency, deep institutional knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of Delta State and the Niger Delta region,” he said.
Guwor, who also serves as Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, commended the former senator for his enduring contributions to lawmaking, constituency development and political mentorship, noting that his legacy continues to influence governance and leadership across the country.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance, good health and wisdom for the celebrant.
“As you mark this special day, I pray that the Almighty God grants you sound health, wisdom and many more years of impactful leadership to Delta State, the Niger Delta and Nigeria.
