Renowned family life coach and marriage counsellor, Bisi Adewale, has emphasised the transformative power of a wife’s prayers, saying consistent intercession can positively shape a husband’s destiny and strengthen the foundation of a family.
Adewale made the remark while announcing plans for the Lagos Couples Conference scheduled for October 1, where one of the major highlights will be a special covenant prayer session for married couples.
According to him, many husbands silently battle pressures, burdens and challenges that may not be visible to others, making the role of a praying wife crucial in sustaining both the man and the family.
He described prayer as one of the greatest gifts a wife can offer her husband, noting that beyond love and support, sincere intercession has the power to bring divine protection, wisdom, favour, strength and direction.
“There are battles a husband may never tell anyone about. A praying wife does more than speak words; she enforces God’s covenant over her home,” Adewale said.
He explained that during the conference, wives will have the opportunity to pray specifically for their husbands in what he described as a prophetic and life-changing session.
Drawing from Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, Adewale said marriage thrives when spouses support each other spiritually, adding that he has witnessed marriages restored, broken relationships healed and destinies redirected through similar prayer encounters.
The marriage counsellor said the conference is designed to equip couples with biblical principles, practical relationship tools and spiritual guidance aimed at building stronger and healthier homes.
He encouraged couples seeking deeper spiritual connection, stronger family bonds and lasting marital stability to participate in the event, noting that the conference is a paid programme and not a free gathering.
Adewale also invited interested participants to register for the conference, expressing confidence that the event would provide an opportunity for couples to renew their commitment to one another and strengthen their marriages through faith and practical teaching.
