The Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle involving the redeployment of four commissioners across key ministries.
The state government said the move was part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen governance, improve service delivery and enhance efficiency in the management of state affairs.
The Secretary to the Edo State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., disclosed this in a statement issued on behalf of the state government.
Under the new arrangement, Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue has been redeployed from the Ministry of Water Resources to the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
Similarly, Hon. (Barr.) Vincent Osas Uwadiae has moved from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development to the Ministry of Water Resources.
Hon. Andrew Momodu has also been transferred from the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy to the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources, while Prof. Omorodion I. Ikponmwosa moves from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
The government said the redeployments take immediate effect.
According to the statement, Governor Okpebholo urged the affected commissioners to deploy their experience and expertise to their new portfolios and remain committed to the administration’s SHINE Agenda for the sustainable development of Edo State.
The latest changes represent a minor adjustment to the state cabinet as the Okpebholo administration continues its efforts to reposition ministries and improve the delivery of government programmes and services to residents.
