Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, has continued his international outreach in Pakistan with an interfaith engagement focused on peace, mutual respect and harmony among people of different faiths.
Kumuyi met with Pakistan’s Grand Imam, Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad, at the historic Badshahi Mosque in Lahore during his visit to the country in September 2026.
According to reports, the meeting provided an opportunity for the two religious leaders to discuss issues surrounding peace, mutual respect and interfaith understanding. The encounter formed part of Kumuyi’s activities in Pakistan during the Global Crusade with Kumuyi outreach programme.
The engagement comes against the backdrop of continuing efforts in Pakistan to promote interfaith harmony. Pakistani authorities and religious leaders have also held national and international conferences in recent months highlighting tolerance, peaceful coexistence and dialogue among religious communities.
Kumuyi’s Pakistan visit is part of his wider global evangelistic ministry, through which he has travelled across continents to preach and engage diverse communities.
World Book of Records recognition
The interfaith engagement also comes shortly after Kumuyi received recognition from the World Book of Records, London, for his contributions to education, humanitarian service, global outreach and community development.
According to report, the recognition was communicated to Kumuyi through an inclusion letter signed by the organisation’s Chief Executive Officer, Santosh Shukla. The recognition placed him in the organisation’s Excellence (E1) category, which acknowledges exceptional achievements and distinguished service across various fields.
In response to the recognition, Kumuyi reportedly expressed humility, while reaffirming his commitment to Christian evangelism. He said his focus remained on winning souls for Christ and attributed the impact of his ministry to God.
Kumuyi, who founded the Deeper Christian Life Ministry and the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, is also the founder and Chancellor of Anchor University, Lagos. His ministry has combined Christian evangelism with humanitarian and educational initiatives in different parts of the world.
The meeting in Lahore adds another dimension to Kumuyi’s international ministry, bringing Christian evangelism into an interfaith setting where dialogue, peace and mutual understanding were central themes.
