The Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has presented outfits to members of the state contingent ahead of the 2026 World Public Relations Forum (WPRF), in a move aimed at promoting a unified and professional image of Delta State at the international event.
The presentation was made on Monday, October 19, 2026, by the chapter chairman, Mr Godfrey C. Osakwe, on behalf of the executive, to Chief Patrick Ukah at his office at the Delta State Secretariat Annex.
Ukah, a member of the NIPR Governing Council, former chairman of the Delta State chapter and member of the WPRF National Planning Committee, received the outfits on behalf of the state contingent and expressed appreciation for the gesture.
He commended Osakwe and members of the chapter’s executive for their support, describing the initiative as a demonstration of commitment to the successful participation and effective representation of Delta State at the global forum.
“I am truly touched by the thoughtful gesture of the Delta State NIPR Chapter in presenting outfits to our state contingent ahead of the World Public Relations Forum 2026.
“My sincere appreciation goes to the Chapter Chairman, Mr Godfrey C. Osakwe, and the entire executive for this show of support and commitment.
“As we prepare for the forum in Abuja from November 15 to 21, 2026, let us work together to showcase the best of Delta State and project our identity, potential and achievements to the world,” Ukah said.
He noted that the week-long international gathering would offer Delta State a valuable opportunity to strengthen its visibility, showcase its developmental achievements and present its investment potential and other opportunities to a global audience.
The World Public Relations Forum is expected to attract public relations practitioners, communication experts and industry leaders from different parts of the world for professional networking, knowledge exchange and discussions on emerging trends shaping the public relations profession.
The event will also provide an avenue for participants to share experiences, explore innovative communication strategies and build relationships that could advance the practice of public relations locally and internationally.
The outfit presentation highlights the Delta State NIPR Chapter’s commitment to supporting the state contingent and ensuring that its members project a coordinated and professional image at the international gathering.
With preparations underway for the November forum, the chapter is looking forward to leveraging the event to strengthen professional partnerships, exchange ideas with global industry stakeholders and showcase Delta State’s identity, achievements and potential to the international public relations community.
