The Federal Government has commenced work on the 2027 budget and plans to present the proposed fiscal document before the end of 2026.
Doris Uzoka-Anite, Minister of State for Budget and Economic Planning, disclosed this on Wednesday while briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The announcement signals the government’s intention to present the 2027 budget before the close of the year, setting the stage for the next phase of the country’s fiscal planning.
Further details on the proposed budget, including its size, key priorities and projected spending plans, are expected to emerge as preparations progress.
