The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara has disclosed why he visited the President of the Federal Republic, Ahmed Tinubu at Aso Villa after his restoration
“I visited Mr. President to thank him on the lifting of the suspensions and state of emergency that had been imposed on the state. While I briefed him on my resumption, he offered some advice on charting the way forward”.
He commended the President for his timely intervention in the affairs of the State.
“I want to commend you for the timely intervention to restore peace in Rivers. If you hadn’t intervened timely, nobody knows what would have happened”
He therefore promised to play the game according to the rules.
“This time around, I promised to work for all the people, parties, elders and for the betterment of the entire State, Rivers”
