As part of efforts to sanitize Edo State from criminal hideouts, the State Government under the leadership of Senator Monday Okpebholo has emphasized its readiness to boost the State Security Corps with more arms and ammunition to intensify bush combing and safeguard the lives of citizens.
The Deputy State Commandant, Edo State Security Corps, CSP Richard Balogun (Rtd) made this disclosure at the Headquarters of the Security Corps in Benin City while speaking with the Corps Tactical Team who apprehended an electrical cable vandal at Ugbowo Axis in Benin City.
CSP Balogun Rtd. assured that the restructured State Security Corps understood the stance of Senator Okpebholo as one who would leave no stone unturned in ridding State of criminalities, crimes and other social vices, adding that the Security Corps Personnel would work relentlessly to ensure tranquility in the State.
He lauded the efforts of the tactical team that apprehended the vandal, stating that more efforts should be implemented to clamp down on criminals in the State.
