‎Edo State  Governor, distinguished  Senator  Monday Okpebholo has approved payment of over 17 million naira uniform debt from the previous administration  to the executive principals of senior secondary schools,  Edo State.

‎

‎The approval follows a committee of executive principals from selected government schools visiting the  Senior Secondary Education Board (SSEB)  to appeal for refund of the  sum of over N17 million.

‎

‎The committee, led by Executive Principal of Egor Senior Secondary School, Onaifo Osemwengie, explained that former consultant to the ministry of education, Chinelo Ezeobi under the former administration established a uniform committee on the directives from former Education Commissioner Dr. Joan Oviawe, who later dissolved the committee, and over 17 million naira remained unpaid to the principals

‎

‎While appreciating the executive principals for their patience, the  Executive  Chairman   of SSEB, Dr. Maureen Ekhoragbon thanked the Executive Governor, Senator Monday for approving the sum.

‎

‎She described the Governor as a leader with excellence, transparency, and   accountability.

‎

‎The executive principals thanked the  chairman for listening to their plight.
