Delta Govt Opens Registration for Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Programme

The Delta State Government has announced the commencement of registration for the Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Programme (TEP), a youth-focused initiative designed to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and economic empowerment among students of state-owned tertiary institutions.

The programme, according to a statement issued on behalf of the state government, will officially open for registration on Monday, February 2, 2026. Interested and eligible students are to apply online through the official application portal, www.tepapplication.com.

TEP is aimed at identifying, nurturing and supporting students with innovative and bankable business ideas, while equipping them with the necessary skills and resources to become successful entrepreneurs and job creators.

The initiative aligns with the Delta State Government’s commitment to youth development and sustainable economic growth.

Eligibility for the programme is limited to students of Delta State-owned universities, including the University of Delta (UNIDEL), Delta State University (DELSU), Southern Delta University (SDU) and Dennis Osadebay University (DOU). Applicants must be of Delta State origin, aged between 18 and 35 years, and must be in 200 Level, 300 Level or penultimate year of study, with a minimum CGPA of 2.5. Prospective applicants are also required to present an innovative and viable business idea.

As part of the application process, candidates are to upload relevant documents, including a recent passport photograph, admission letter, birth certificate, local government of origin certificate and a detailed business plan proposal.

The government noted that all submissions would be carefully screened and only applicants who meet the stated requirements would be considered.

The Delta State Government has urged qualified students across the eligible institutions to seize the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurial potential and contribute meaningfully to the state’s economic advancement.

For further information and updates, applicants are advised to regularly visit the application portal or contact 09134120144 (message only).

The announcement was signed by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Barr. ThankGod Trakiriowei, on behalf of the Delta State Government.
