A significant traffic bottleneck has developed Monday morning along the busy Kugbo‑Nyanya stretch of the Abuja‑Keffi highway, as commuter traffic mixes with preparations for protest centred around the detained activist Nnamdi Kanu.
Motorists heading into the FCT from the Kugbo/Nyanya axis report slow movement, with several lanes reportedly blocked by parked vehicles and protest‑related activity.
Historically this corridor has been vulnerable to disruptions: for example, heavy traffic and blocked lanes due to security checks during protests and security operations in the past.
