Warri, Delta State — The Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria and Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, is among prominent political leaders expected at the Delta South Senatorial District Leaders, Elders and Stakeholders Mega Meeting scheduled to hold in Warri on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
The strategic gathering, convened by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta South, Prince Emmanuel Amgbadugba, is expected to bring together key party leaders, elected representatives, elders, stakeholders and grassroots mobilisers from across the eight local government areas in the senatorial district.
According to a statement by Amgbadugba, the meeting will commence at 10:00 a.m. at Brownhill Coliseum, 6/7 Elf Road, Ogunu, Warri.
Among the dignitaries expected at the meeting are former Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan; Senator representing Delta South, Joel-Onowakpo Thomas; former Senator James Manager; and members of the House of Representatives from the district, including Julius Pondi, Nicholas Mutu, Thomas Ereyitomi and Jonathan Ukodikho.
The meeting is expected to provide a major platform for discussions on party unity, internal cohesion, political coordination and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaker Guwor’s expected participation is seen as significant as the APC continues efforts to strengthen its political structure and deepen its presence across Delta South.
Other party leaders and stakeholders are also expected to attend, bringing together a broad range of political experience and influence. The convergence is expected to make the meeting one of the most significant APC stakeholder engagements in the senatorial district in recent times.
Amgbadugba said the discussions would focus particularly on strengthening unity within the party, improving coordination among APC structures across Delta South and developing a stronger grassroots network ahead of the 2027 elections.
The gathering is also expected to generate considerable political interest across Delta State, particularly as the APC seeks to consolidate its structures and mobilise support under the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda.
The convener urged all invited elders, leaders, stakeholders, party executives, elected officials and members to attend the meeting promptly and participate actively in deliberations aimed at repositioning the APC in Delta South ahead of the 2027 general elections.
