Believers must wholeheartedly contend for the common salvation delivered once for all to the saints.

The word is for those who are called, sanctified, and preserved in Jesus Christ. They are people who have been washed, sanctified, and justified by the Lord. Their bodies are consecrated unto the Lord, and they are “not at liberty to do evil, but to live wholly unto the Lord”.

Contending requires a conscious resolve and commitment to uphold the faith. If a believer closes their eyes to corruption or folds their hands and remains silent about evil, they are not contending for the faith. They must hold fast and firm to the faith, even when tempted.

Believers must remember the fate of fallen angels, Sodom and Gomorrah, and backsliding Israel, who corrupted the faith. They must watch and guard against all those determined to walk in the path of corruption.

The love of dirty money can destroy a person, as seen with Balaam, who forsook the right way. People who pursue money through perversion and denial of the truth will perish. Hatred in the heart is murder, and murder is eternal death.

Final judgment is certain; books will be opened, and the dead will be judged according to their works. There is life after death: for the righteous, life in heaven, but for the unjust, life in hell fire.

Believers must live a life that justifies what the Lord calls them to. They must keep on building and continuously add “another act of obedience” and “blocks of graceful living”. When they forget the word of the Lord, they stumble and behave unrighteously; when they remember, they live for the Truth.

You must be willing to convert backsliders and sinners, which “shall save a soul from death”. However, you must not fall into their lusts or let them “convert you into their darkness and backsliding”. Friendship of the world is enmity with God.

God is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before His glory. The Lord is praying for you, and He has the power to keep you to the final day. Every day, believers must remember the word of the Lord and live as a “beloved of the Lord”.
