Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has extended warm felicitations to renowned Urhobo leader, Chief D. T. E. Salubi, on the occasion of his 90th birthday, describing him as an enduring symbol of patriotism, courage, and cultural pride.

In a statement issued on behalf of his family and the people of Delta Central, Senator Dafinone praised Chief Salubi for a lifetime of unwavering commitment to the Urhobo nation and Delta State at large.

“Today, we celebrate not just the longevity of a remarkable life, but the enduring legacy of an uncommon patriot whose name is etched boldly in the story of the Urhobo nation,” the senator stated.

He described the nonagenarian as an uncompromising Urhobo patriot, steadfast community leader, and progressive politician whose convictions have remained firm despite challenges over the decades.

According to Dafinone, Chief Salubi has consistently served as a moral compass and rallying voice for justice, equity, and the advancement of the Urhobo people. He noted that the elder statesman’s courage, clarity of purpose, and principled engagement in public life continue to inspire generations of leaders across Delta State and beyond.

The senator further hailed Chief Salubi as a “living encyclopedia” of Urhobo history, emphasizing his deep knowledge of the people’s ancestry, struggles, and triumphs. He said the elder statesman’s contributions have significantly strengthened the cultural consciousness, unity, and developmental aspirations of the Urhobo nation.

As Chief Salubi marks the milestone age of 90, Senator Dafinone prayed for continued strength, sound health, and peace for the respected leader.

“May his years ahead be filled with joy and the satisfaction of seeing the seeds he planted blossom across our land. His life remains a blessing and a beacon to us all,” the statement concluded.
