Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has extended warm felicitations to renowned Urhobo leader, Chief D. T. E. Salubi, on the occasion of his 90th birthday, describing him as an enduring symbol of patriotism, courage, and cultural pride.

He described the nonagenarian as an uncompromising Urhobo patriot, steadfast community leader, and progressive politician whose convictions have remained firm despite challenges over the decades.
According to Dafinone, Chief Salubi has consistently served as a moral compass and rallying voice for justice, equity, and the advancement of the Urhobo people. He noted that the elder statesman’s courage, clarity of purpose, and principled engagement in public life continue to inspire generations of leaders across Delta State and beyond.
The senator further hailed Chief Salubi as a “living encyclopedia” of Urhobo history, emphasizing his deep knowledge of the people’s ancestry, struggles, and triumphs.
