The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State has intensified preparations for the party’s state campaign flag-off scheduled for November 5, 2026, at Oleh Stadium.
The Local Government Campaign Coordinator, Sir Itiako Malik Ikpokpo, KSM, disclosed this after a meeting of the campaign committee and an inspection of the stadium, which will host the rally.
Ikpokpo said the committee had put necessary arrangements in place to ensure a hitch-free event, noting that sub-committees had been constituted and specific responsibilities assigned to guarantee effective coordination.
He expressed confidence in the readiness of Isoko South to host Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, party leaders and members of the APC from across Delta State for the campaign flag-off.
“We have concluded a productive meeting and inspected the venue for the campaign flag-off. We have taken critical decisions, established sub-committees and assigned responsibilities to ensure that every aspect of the event is properly coordinated,” he said.
The campaign coordinator added that the committee was intensifying grassroots mobilisation to ensure a strong turnout of party faithful and residents at the rally.
“Our preparations are in top gear. We are determined to give the governor and the entire Delta APC family a warm reception. Our people are enthusiastic, and we are working towards a successful rally,” Ikpokpo said.
He described the forthcoming event as an opportunity for the APC to demonstrate its strength, unity and organisational capacity in Isoko South, urging party members and supporters to contribute actively to the preparations.
The meeting and inspection were aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation, improving coordination among the various sub-committees and ensuring adequate logistical arrangements for the expected influx of party leaders, stakeholders and supporters.
The meeting was hosted by the Chairman of the Campaign Council, Dr. Godwin Adolor.
Among those in attendance were the member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko; the member representing Isoko South Constituency II in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Ferguson Onwo; and the APC candidate for Isoko South Constituency I in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Lucky Idoveh Sabon.
Also present was the Delta State APC Organising Secretary, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor, alongside other party leaders and stakeholders.
The November 5 rally is expected to serve as a significant platform for the APC to engage its supporters, consolidate its grassroots structures and mobilise political support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
With preparations gaining momentum, the Isoko South APC leadership says it is committed to delivering a well-organised campaign flag-off that will showcase the party’s unity and readiness for the political activities ahead.
