Former Bayelsa State Governor and National leader of National Democratic Congress (NDC), Henry Seriake Dickson, has announced that he hosted the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and his running mate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, at a high-level consultative meeting ahead of the commencement of election campaigns.
Dickson, in a statement on Thursday, said the meeting reviewed the state of affairs within the party and focused on preparations for the forthcoming campaigns, which are expected to begin later this month.
According to him, the engagement provided an opportunity for party leaders to assess ongoing activities and strengthen strategies aimed at mobilising support ahead of the elections.
Dickson expressed confidence in the party’s presidential ticket, describing Obi and Kwankwaso as the party’s candidates for the offices of President and Vice President.
He also appealed to members, supporters and stakeholders to remain united and committed to the party’s success.
“We call on all members, supporters and stakeholders of our great party to unite, remain steadfast and work together for victory for all candidates of our party,” Dickson said.
