I will always remember the first time I met Ron Kenoly at Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose, California. He was leading worship that day, and I had the privilege of inviting him—on behalf of Integrity Music—to lead worship for a Hosanna! Music project that would later become Jesus Is Alive. None of us could have known then that it was only the beginning of such a meaningful journey together.
Through the years, we worked on many more projects, shared stages around the world, and, most importantly, built a lasting friendship. Ron’s passion for worship, his unmistakable voice, and his heart for God touched millions, but those of us who knew him personally were equally impacted by his kindness and faith.
Today, my heart is heavy with this loss. Yet even in grief, I hold fast to the hope we both believed in—that one day I will see my dear friend again. Until then, I can only echo the words we long to hear ourselves someday: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
