The Edo State Parks and Gardens Agency has commenced preparations for a major beautification and landscaping project along Golf Road in the Government Reserved Area (GRA), Benin City, with an official site inspection led by the General Manager, Pastor Stanley Dave Ighodaro.
The inspection marks the beginning of efforts to transform the corridor into a more attractive and environmentally sustainable public space as part of the agency’s urban renewal initiatives.
According to the agency, the project aligns with the vision of Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo to create a cleaner, greener, and more aesthetically pleasing Edo State through strategic environmental management and landscaping.
The initiative is also in line with the SHINE Agenda, which prioritizes sustainable development, improved public infrastructure, and enhanced environmental quality across the state.
Speaking during the inspection, Pastor Stanley Dave Ighodaro reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to delivering impactful projects that improve the state’s landscape while promoting environmental sustainability and urban beautification.
The Golf Road landscaping project is expected to enhance the visual appeal of the area, contribute to a healthier environment, and further demonstrate the government’s commitment to creating a more livable and attractive Edo State.
