The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi, has called on believers to confront spiritual, personal, and societal challenges with unwavering faith in Christ, assuring them of victory through divine empowerment.
Pastor Kumuyi gave the charge on December 25, 2025, during the Deeper Life Global December Retreat, while delivering the third Bible teaching on Day Two of the programme, themed The Great Redemption Power. His message, titled Conquering Giants Through Christ, was drawn from Numbers 13:27–30.
Reflecting on the account of the twelve spies sent to survey the Promised Land, Kumuyi noted that fear caused ten of them to lose sight of God’s promise, despite the evidence of abundance before them. He contrasted this with Caleb’s bold confession that Israel was well able to possess the land, describing it as a timeless example of faith triumphing over fear.
According to him, believers today may encounter formidable “giants” in their spiritual journey, family life, careers, or ministry, but such obstacles will give way when faced with faith, obedience, and trust in God.
The cleric further warned that opposition to the gospel would intensify in the last days. However, he reassured worshippers that the church, empowered by the Holy Spirit, would remain victorious. Drawing from the Acts of the Apostles, he emphasized that spiritual authority and lasting victory are the result of a life fully surrendered to God.
Pastor Kumuyi concluded by assuring participants that God’s redemptive power would bring lasting victory, restoration, and the fulfillment of divine promises. He encouraged believers to approach the coming year with confidence, declaring that greater is He who is in them than any force in the world.
