A supporter of former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello (popularly known as FGYB), has expressed confidence that the former governor would defeat Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in any political contest, insisting that the two politicians are not on the same political level.
The supporter, Usman Isaiah, made the assertion in a statement, arguing that comparing Bello with Akpoti-Uduaghan was an unfair political comparison.
According to him, “Comparing FGYB to Natasha H. Akpoti-Uduaghan is an insult to FGYB’s personality. Politically, one cannot compare a lion to an ordinary antelope because the difference is obvious.”
Isaiah further claimed that Bello would secure a convincing victory over the senator if they were to face each other electorally, adding that the margin of victory would be wide enough to discourage any legal challenge.
“FGYB will not only defeat Natasha H. Akpoti-Uduaghan, but the margin will be so significant that it will discourage her from challenging the outcome in court,” he said.
He also maintained that Bello’s political achievements and influence would ultimately determine the outcome of any future election involving the two figures.
“I stand to be corrected. Nobody can engage in a political battle with FGYB and emerge victorious. FGYB’s track record will speak for itself on election day,” Isaiah stated.
Former Governor Yahaya Bello served as Governor of Kogi State from 2016 to 2024 and remains a prominent figure in the state’s political landscape. Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan currently represents Kogi Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly and has emerged as one of the state’s most visible opposition voices.
The remarks by Isaiah represent his personal political opinion and have not elicited any official response from Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan or her supporters as of the time of filing this report.
