ABRAKA—Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has urged his constituents to maintain their support for President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, as his free medical outreach programme recorded massive turnout in Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area.

The outreach, held on March 27, 2026, at the Ejeta Primary Health Care Centre, attracted hundreds of residents, including members of the university community, who welcomed the medical team with enthusiasm and relief.

Speaking through his aides, Chief Jemu Salubi and Mr. Henry Esiri, Dafinone explained that the initiative forms part of his ongoing commitment to improving access to healthcare, particularly for underserved populations who struggle with rising medical costs.

He emphasized the importance of continued political support for both federal and state administrations, noting that collaboration among leaders is key to delivering meaningful development across Delta Central.

According to his representatives, the outreach already conducted in four local government areas aims to bridge gaps in healthcare access caused by limited infrastructure and economic challenges.

During the exercise, beneficiaries received free medical consultations, treatment for various ailments, and essential supplies, including drugs and reading glasses. Cases requiring advanced attention were referred to higher medical facilities.

The aides further highlighted the senator’s broader interventions in the health sector, including the renovation and equipping of medical centres, alongside efforts in education, youth empowerment, and job creation.

Residents expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful amid current economic pressures. Many beneficiaries also reaffirmed their support for the senator, expressing confidence in his leadership and optimism for continued developmental efforts in the region.
