Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon Paul Ohonbamu has reassured Edo People that Governor Monday Okpebholo’s Administration is Poised to Attract more Investors to Edo State.
The Commissioner who disclosed this in a statement in Benin City noted that the Governor Monday Okpebholo-led administration is committed to transforming Edo State into a hub for investment and economic growth, despite criticism surrounding insecurity in the state.
The Commissioner was responding to the appeal made by the Nigeria Union Of Journalists, NUJ, Edo State Council during the Emergency Congress that the State Government should create an enabling environment for more private investors to do business.
According to him, “Edo State Government is working tirelessly to address security challenges and create a conducive environment for investors.
” The efforts are yielding positive results, and we’re confident that Edo State will soon become an attractive destination for investors. The administration is focused on Improving Infrastructure, Enhancing roads, transportation, and other critical infrastructure to facilitate business operations, Simplifying procedures and regulations to attract investors.
“The government is Promoting Investment Opportunities, Showcasing Edo State’s potential in various sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism, and taking concrete steps to address insecurity.
“The Government has Provided necessary equipment and training to security personnel as well as engaging with local communities to prevent and respond to security challenges with the setting up of the special security intervention team led by the Governor.”
Ohonbamu urged the people of Edo State to remain patient and supportive as the government work towards creating a brighter future.
While inviting investors to explore opportunities in the state and join in building a prosperous Edo, the Commissioner maintained that Governor Okpebholo’s administration is committed to making Edo State an attractive destination for investors.
“We believe in the potential of our state and its people, and we’re working hard to realize that potential,” he added.
