OKADA, Edo State – The management of Igbinedion University, Okada, has publicly commended Dr. Regina Emengini Nwokedi for her 19 years of “meritorious service” to the institution.
In an official letter of commendation signed by the Registrar, Ahola Orgeh, the University praised Dr. Nwokedi, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics (fondly called Mama Physics) , for her dedication and commitment throughout her contract appointment from January 16, 2006, to September 30, 2025.
The letter highlighted her significant contributions in several key leadership roles. Specifically, management expressed gratitude for her work in coordinating the affairs of the General Studies unit and serving as the Head of the Department of Physics.
Dr. Nwokedi was also recognized for her “enormous and impactful” leadership in the Female Hostel and the University Staff School, where she was credited with systematically raising efficiency levels to achieve set goals.
The University stated that her efforts have become a “veritable platform” for the further development of her department and the institution as a whole. Despite prevailing challenges, the letter noted that she “delivered on various assignments very well.”
On behalf of the University management, Mr. Orgeh extended prayers for Dr. Nwokedi’s future endeavors, concluding, “I commend you once again for your meritorious service.”
