As the Delta State Government breaks ground on the Delta Special Economic Zone (Kwale Free Trade Zone) in Ndokwa West Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Service, IRS, Hon Solomon Ighrakpata, has described the project as a game-changer for Delta State, poised to attract investments, create jobs, and boost economic activity.

Reacting to the Tuesday’s groundbreaking of the Free Trade Zone by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Hon Ighrakpata hailed the development as a significant milestone in the state’s economic growth.

He explained that the project aligns with the state’s efforts to improve revenue generation and reduce dependence on oil revenue.

Hon Ighrakpata, a two termed member of the Delta State Assembly, pointed out that the Delta Special Economic Zone is a crucial component of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s vision to diversify the state’s economy and promote industrialization.

The Executive Chairman maintained that the Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Service is committed to supporting the development of the Special Economic Zone by providing efficient tax services and incentives to investors.

Ighrakpata urged Deltans to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the Special Economic Zone, emphasizing that it would stimulate economic growth, create employment, and improve the standard of living.
