A young man identified as Onyema Etiebet has tragically lost his life following a fire outbreak at his residence located at House Number 14, Bensoo Street, off Medical Stores Road, Benin City, Edo State.
According to some occupants and neighbors in the area, property worth millions of naira was also destroyed in the inferno.
The late Oyeme was burnt beyond recognition while attempting to savage his belongings and his wife who was also affected by the fire outbreak is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
Occupants attributed the fire to gas explosion.
They appealed to the Edo State government and other spirited individuals to come to their aid.
Neighbors said it took the combined efforts of the Edo State fire service and Federal fire services to put off the fire after much damage.
