Excitement and widespread goodwill messages have continued to trail the announcement by the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Majesty Orhue I, Major General Felix Mujakperuo (Rtd), of the foundation laying ceremony for the Okpe Kingdom Sub-Palace in Sapele, Delta State.
The monarch, in a public invitation, called on sons, daughters, and well-wishers of the kingdom to join him for the historic ceremony scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta.
The announcement has sparked a wave of congratulatory messages across social media, with many describing the development as long overdue and a significant step in reinforcing the cultural and traditional presence of the Okpe Kingdom in Sapele.
Supporters hailed the project as a symbol of rightful heritage and identity, stressing that a sub-palace in Sapele was necessary given the town’s historical and cultural importance to the Okpe people.
“This is the rightful move. Who owns the land should rule and preside over it,” one supporter wrote, while another described the initiative as “a model palace that has been long expected in Sapele town.”
