The General Overseer’s wife, Sis Lazarus Mouka of the Lord’s Chosen popularly known as Mummy G.O., has charged Christian youths to deepen their relationship with God, stand firm in righteousness and uphold the legacy of faith in their generation.
She gave the charge while ministering to youths on Day Two of the International Youth Programme held in August 2026, with the theme, “The Youth That Knows the Lord.”
The message was anchored on Daniel 11:32, 2 Chronicles 26:1 and Daniel 3:16, with emphasis on the need for young Christians to know God and demonstrate their faith in the face of opposition and challenges.
Mummy G.O. highlighted biblical youths who, according to her, stood firmly for their faith and accomplished great things in their generation.
She cited Daniel, who remained steadfast in his devotion to God despite the threat of being thrown into the lions’ den, saying his faithfulness ultimately led to his deliverance.
She also referenced Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who refused to bow to the king’s command in Babylon and remained committed to their faith despite being threatened with death in a fiery furnace.
Another example she cited was Esther, whom she described as a young woman who accomplished great things in her generation and was used by God to save her people.
According to her, the biblical accounts provide examples for Christian youths today to emulate by refusing to compromise their faith because of pressure, opposition or challenges.
She urged the youths not to succumb to pressure from adversaries but to stand firm in their commitment to God, expressing confidence that God would deliver those who remained faithful to Him.
The minister further spoke on the expected response and rewards of knowing God, stressing that a genuine knowledge of God should reflect in the way young people live and respond to challenges.
She said God is seeking youths who will carry forward the legacy of righteousness and positively influence their generation.
In her concluding charge, Mummy G.O. urged the youths to examine their relationship with God and make their ways right with Him.
She challenged them to know God “in totality,” saying that those who genuinely know Him would be equipped to make a meaningful impact and “dominate this generation.”
The message ended with a direct question to the youths: “Are you the youth that knows the Lord?”
