Relatives of the 35 worshippers kidnapped from the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Igan, in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, say the armed bandits responsible for the attack have demanded a ransom of ₦100 million for each victim.
The worshippers were abducted during a church programme, sparking fear and anxiety within the community. Family members, who confirmed the development, expressed helplessness over the staggering amount being requested, describing the situation as traumatic and overwhelming.
They have appealed to security agencies and the government to intensify efforts to secure the safe release of their loved ones.
