Popular cleric and founder of Agape Christian Ministries, Pastor Funke Adejumo, has advised married men not to lose themselves in an attempt to satisfy every expectation of their wives, insisting that no man can completely please a woman.
Speaking during a sermon that began trending on Sunday, Adejumo said women are naturally inclined to seek change and improvement, urging husbands not to place themselves under unnecessary pressure in their marriages.
Addressing married men, she said, “Don’t ever kill yourself trying to please a woman. I’m a woman speaking to you, and there is nobody who can please a woman to the fullest.”
The cleric used women’s beauty routines to illustrate her point, noting that despite believing God created them beautifully, many women still choose to enhance or alter their natural appearance.
“God gave us natural nails, we cut them and put on artificial ones. He gave us natural hair, we remove it and wear wigs. If God cannot please us completely, who are you to think you can?” she said.
Despite her remarks, Adejumo encouraged husbands to continue loving, supporting and caring for their wives. However, she cautioned them against exhausting themselves in pursuit of perfection, stressing that healthy marriages should not be built on the unrealistic expectation of meeting every demand.
