Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has assured youths in the state of increased employment opportunities as ongoing projects continue to stimulate the local economy and create jobs.
The governor gave the assurance during a visit to the Julius Berger Nigeria Plc yard, where he inspected the work environment and equipment being used on project sites.
Addressing the workers, many of whom are youths, Oborevwori commended their commitment and contribution to ongoing development projects across the state.
He stated that the government remains committed to creating an enabling environment for businesses and infrastructure projects that will provide sustainable employment for young people.
The governor also stressed the importance of adhering strictly to workplace safety protocols, urging the workers to prioritize safety while carrying out their duties.
According to him, maintaining high safety standards is essential to protecting lives and ensuring efficiency at project sites.
