The Edo State Government has announced the appointment of Dr. Adetutu Owolabi as the new Chairman of the Governing Council of the Edo State College of Health Sciences and Technology.
The appointment was approved by the state Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, according to a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.
Owolabi holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Nursing.
She is also an ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
The state government expressed appreciation to the outgoing Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr. (Mrs.) Imoisili Udoka, for her contributions to the institution.
According to the statement, Udoka will be assigned another responsibility by the state government at a later date.
The government congratulated Owolabi on her appointment and wished her a successful tenure in office.
The appointment takes effect as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the administration and governance of its health training institutions.
