Lahore, Pakistan — The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor (Dr.) W.F. Kumuyi, has paid a historic visit to the Grand Imam of the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, as part of his September 2026 ministry visit to Pakistan.
The meeting, which took place during Pastor Kumuyi’s Global Crusade with Pastor Kumuyi (GCK) outreach in Lahore, focused on interfaith harmony, global peace, mutual respect and the need for religious communities to work together to overcome hatred and promote peaceful coexistence.
Pastor Kumuyi travelled to Pakistan with his wife, Mrs. Esther Kumuyi, for the Global Crusade and a special prayer festival organised across several locations, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Kasur and Gojra.
The visit was hosted by Pastor Anwar Fazal and the Eternal Life Church family in partnership with Isaac Television. During his stay, Pastor Kumuyi also participated in leadership conferences, media interviews and other engagements aimed at strengthening Christian ministry and outreach in Pakistan.
As part of the interfaith engagements, the renowned Christian minister also met with Pakistan’s Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, highlighting the importance of religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence and respect among people of different faiths.
At the Badshahi Mosque, Pastor Kumuyi and Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad reportedly discussed ways of overcoming religious hatred and promoting peace between Christian and Muslim communities. The meeting also featured a symbolic exchange of gifts, including Pastor Kumuyi’s book, Against Terrorism.
The outreach comes against the backdrop of Pakistan’s predominantly Muslim population, making the open-air Christian gatherings and interfaith engagements a notable part of Pastor Kumuyi’s ministry visit.
For Pastor Kumuyi and the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, the Pakistan mission represents another effort to take the Christian message beyond traditional boundaries and engage people across cultural and religious divides.
The visit also echoes Christ’s command to His followers to take the Gospel to all nations and serve as witnesses to the faith, while extending a message of hope, peace and reconciliation to people from different backgrounds.
