‎The Nigeria Police Force has made a strategic deployment, redeploying its Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, to the Delta State Command as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations. This move comes after Adejobi’s promotion to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, following the approval of the Police Service Commission (PSC).

‎

‎As DCP Operations,Adejobi will oversee security operations in Delta State, tackling violent crimes and strengthening police-community relations, strengthening Police-Community Relations experience in public communication and community policing will help foster better relationships between the police and the community.

‎

‎Adejobi’s redeployment is part of routine administrative procedures within the Nigeria Police Force, aimed at strengthening operational leadership across the country. His wealth of experience in public communication, operational management, and community policing makes him an ideal fit for this role.

‎

‎ Meanwhile, the police authorities have clarified that Adejobi’s redeployment is neither punitive nor controversial but rather a strategic move to leverage his expertise in a more sensitive and operational role.

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, praised Adejobi’s tenure as FPRO, commending his commitment and notable contributions to reshaping the image and communication strategies of the Nigeria Police Force.
