Some youths on Friday staged a protest at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), calling on President Bola Tinubu to remove the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over alleged disrespect to party leaders.

The protesters converged on the APC headquarters carrying placards with various inscriptions demanding Wike’s removal and urging party discipline.

Some of the placards read: “President Tinubu, sack Wike now,” “Stop disrespecting APC members,” and “No minister is above APC.”

Others bore messages such as “APC no be Wike property,” “APC must wrestle order,” “Wike, APC leadership is not your mate,” and “Wike, no more political threats.”

The protesters insisted that the party’s leadership must be respected at all times, warning that continued alleged acts of disrespect could undermine unity within the ruling party.
