The Nigerian Senate led by Senator Godswill Akpabio has changed its earlier hard stand over the much awaited resumption of the suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central by unsealing her office this Tuesday morning.

This might not be unconnected with several interventions on the need to tow political solution in resolving the hydra-headed umbloglio between the Senate President and by extension the Senate leadership and Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

According to Vanguard report “the Sergeant at Arms of the National Assembly, along with combined personnel of security organisations have unsealed her 205 office of the Senate Wing.

“With this development, the National Assembly has now granted the suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan access to her office and the National Assembly premises.

“With her office now unsealed”, the report went on, “Akpoti-Uduaghan can access the National Assembly premises, potentially paving the way for her to resume her legislative duties.

“Vanguard gathered that the move to open her office prior to resumption is to enable Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to be in the Hallowed Chambers upon resumption on 7th October, 2025.

“According to a source, the decision was arrived at during yesterday’s leadership meeting of the Senate, where a motion will be moved and barring any changes, the Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Abba Moro, PDP, Benue South, will move the motion for her to apologise, then seconded, and it will be taken”, stated the Vanguard report.

The office was sealed on the 6th of March 2025 after being suspended by the senate for six months

Recall that the Senate was billed to resume today (Tuesday) but shifted it to two weeks ahead, October 7, 2025 with no official reason adduced as at the time of this report
