Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude, President and Founder of the New Covenant Gospel Church, Benin City, Edo State has announced details of the 2026 Easter celebrations, themed “Resurrection Power Service,” in a message shared on his Facebook page, inviting worshippers to participate in a three-day spiritual programme.
According to the announcement, the Easter services will run from Friday, April 3, to Sunday, April 5, 2026, featuring a lineup of activities designed to deepen reflection, outreach, and celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The schedule begins with Good Friday, which will be observed as a day of prayer and fasting, concluding at 4:00 p.m. The following day, Easter Saturday, will focus on mass evangelism, with members expected to depart the church for outreach activities at 10:00 a.m.
The programme will culminate on Easter Sunday with a single combined service starting at 7:30 a.m., bringing the congregation together in celebration of the risen King.
In his message, Rev. Omobude encouraged believers to take part in the services, expressing hope that the season would be spiritually uplifting for all. He concluded with a prayer, asking for God’s presence to be with everyone as they mark the Easter celebration.
