Speaker Guwor Extends New Year Greetings, Prays for Peace and Progress in Delta State

As the dawn of 2026 breaks, Speaker of the Delta State Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has extended warm greetings to Deltans, reaffirming the House’s commitment to progress under Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori’s leadership.

 

The Speaker in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Nkem Nwaeke, emphasized the Assembly’s dedication to supporting the development initiatives of both the state and federal government in the 2026 fiscal year.

 

Rt Hon Guwor stated that Governor Oborevwori has been very consistent in prioritizing Infrastructure Development, Economic Empowerment, Social Welfare, and Good Governance in the state, and predicted more achievements in 2026.

 

Guwor who represents Warri South West in the House and National Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, urged stakeholders to commit to Delta State development.

 

He said, “As we bid farewell to 2025, let’s welcome 2026 with hope, unity, and resilience”, expressing optimism that the new year will bring prosperity to the state and Nigeria as a nation.

 

Speaker Guwor prayed for peace and progress in Delta State, urging citizens to embrace the values of love, compassion, and determination as they work towards building a brighter future.

 

“As we step into a new year, let us recommit to the pursuit of our shared goals of achieving more peace, progress, and development for Delta State. May our collective efforts be guided by resilience, faith, and a determination to make Delta State a better place for all,” Guwor said.

 

The Speaker wished Deltans joy, blessings, and a prosperous New Year.
