Kumuyi Charges Believers to Remain Steadfast as February Global Crusade Concludes in Port Harcourt

The February edition of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) ended on a strong spiritual note as the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, William Folorunso Kumuyi, urged believers to abide in the Lord with unwavering faithfulness.

The five-day crusade, held in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, commenced on February 25 and concluded on March 1, 2026. Drawing participants both physically and online from across denominations, the programme emphasized spiritual renewal, steadfast faith, and preparation for Christ’s return.

Speaking on the theme, “Further Living Points Through the Transforming Prince,” with text from Psalm 85:7–9, Kumuyi described God as “a God of creation and redemption,” stressing that true faith requires believers to turn away permanently from past sinful ways. According to him, coming to the Lord demands manifesting faith “without turning back to folly”—the old life left behind.

He charged believers to continue in fellowship with the Lord in faithfulness rather than faithlessness, noting that such commitment enables God’s glory to dwell in their hearts and homes.

The message was divided into three major points:

1. Faith’s Living Point with Perpetual Decision

Drawing from Hebrews 11:6, 8, 15–16 and Romans 1:17, Kumuyi emphasized the necessity of making a permanent and unwavering decision to follow the Lord. He warned that the decision to serve God must not be temporary but perpetual, explaining that genuine faith produces a decisive turning point in a person’s life. He encouraged believers to quit evil and all unrighteousness, underscoring that consistent obedience sustains spiritual growth.

2. Fellowship’s Turning Points Through Practical Dedication

Referencing Acts 2:38–43 and Hebrews 10:25, 35–39, Kumuyi highlighted the importance of continued fellowship and dedicated study of God’s Word after the initial experience of salvation. He stated that God desires to make believers “giants of faith” in His kingdom, provided they remain steadfast and committed to His service.

He further noted that the turning point in a believer’s life is not complete without water baptism and steadfast fellowship in God’s doctrine, which he described as the Word of God.

3. The Final Turning Point on the Perfect Day

From Proverbs 4:18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51–54, the cleric reminded worshippers of the ultimate turning point—the return of Christ. He urged them to hold firmly to their newfound faith without wavering or reverting to old ways, cautioning that “the trumpet shall sound” at an unexpected hour.

As the crusade drew to a close, Kumuyi called on participants both online and onsite to remain faithful to the Lord regardless of denominational differences. He stressed that abiding in Christ is key to enjoying God’s faithfulness and blessings until He returns to take His people to His eternal kingdom.

The Port Harcourt crusade marked another significant gathering in the ongoing global outreach, reinforcing the message of steadfast faith, holy living, and readiness for the Lord’s coming
