The second edition of National Police Day is set to take place on Tuesday at Eagle Square in Abuja, marking a significant initiative introduced by President Bola Tinubu to recognise the dedication and sacrifices of officers of the Nigeria Police Force.
The event will feature colourful parades and displays of operational assets, showcasing the capabilities and readiness of the Force in maintaining national security. It is also expected to draw top government officials, security stakeholders, and members of the public.

Beyond the ceremonial activities, National Police Day serves as a platform to emphasise the vital role of the Nigeria Police Force in safeguarding lives and property across the country. It also provides an avenue to strengthen public trust and foster closer ties between the police and the communities they serve.
The occasion further highlights ongoing reforms within the Force, aimed at improving professionalism, accountability, and community engagement, as part of broader efforts to enhance effective policing in Nigeria.
