The United States has extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigeria on the occasion of its 65th independence anniversary.

In a statement, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio praised Nigeria’s enduring resilience and leadership over the past six decades.

“Nigeria stands as a beacon of strength and determination,” Rubio said, highlighting the strong partnership between the two nations, built on shared democratic values, expanding economic ties, and a mutual commitment to promoting peace and security.

Rubio celebrated Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and entrepreneurial spirit, expressing optimism about deepening bilateral collaboration in the years ahead.

“We look forward to working together to achieve our shared goals,” he added.

The U.S. extended wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Nigeria and its people in the coming year.

Meanwhile, at 65 Independence celebrations, Nigerians across the globe reacts.

Today we mark another Independence Day — a reminder of freedom, hope, and unity. Nigeria is not a failed country. Nigeria is richly blessed with natural resources, fertile soil, intelligent citizens, and resilient youths. Truly, Nigeria no be the problem.

The real problem is leadership. For too long, we have been ruled by leaders who value personal gain above national progress. They have turned our abundance into scarcity, our hope into despair, and our blessings into suffering. The tragedy of Nigeria is not lack of resources, but lack of sincere, visionary leadership.

Independence is not just about raising the flag or singing the anthem; independence must reflect in the lives of the people. True independence means freedom from corruption, freedom from hunger, and freedom from bad governance. Anything less is slavery in disguise.

Our leaders have turned abundance into scarcity, hope into despair, and promise into pain.Let the truth be said without fear leadership is not a crown of comfort but a burden of responsibility. Any leader who forgets this simple truth betrays the trust of the people Nigeria is not cursed. Nigeria is not bad But with truth, unity, and visionary leadership, this nation will rise again. And when that day comes, the world will not just call us the Giant of Africa — they will call us the pride of Africa

“Happy Independence Day 🇳🇬”

🇳🇬 Happy 65th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!

“Today, we celebrate not just the passage of time, but the resilience, strength, and unity of a people who continue to strive for greatness. For 65 years, our nation has journeyed through challenges and triumphs, and through it all, the Nigerian spirit has remained unbroken”.

As we mark this milestone, let us remember that independence is not just about freedom from the past, but the responsibility to build a brighter future. A future where peace, justice, progress, and opportunities are not just dreams, but realities for every citizen.

Nigeria is blessed with rich culture, diversity, talent, and potential. If we stand together with renewed hope, integrity, and determination, the Nigeria we desire is within reach.

Here’s to a stronger, united, and prosperous Nigeria.

Happy Independence Day! 🎉🇳🇬

“Today, our country is celebrating 65 years since its establishment as a fully independent nation, which we achieved from colonial rulers in the year 1960.

We hope that God will continue to bless our country, our leaders and our rulers in the administration of government or in the conduct of domestic affairs with justice, diligence, courage and dedication to the entire nation
