More than ten staff members of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are currently being prosecuted for various corruption-related offences, the examination body has confirmed.
The affected officials were reportedly indicted after internal audits and investigations uncovered cases of financial misconduct and abuse of office within the agency.
According to JAMB, the move underscores its commitment to maintaining transparency, accountability, and integrity in the administration of public examinations.
A senior official of the Board, who confirmed the development, said the management has zero tolerance for corruption, stressing that any staff found guilty will face the full weight of the law.
“JAMB will not shield anyone involved in fraudulent practices. We remain committed to upholding the trust of Nigerians,” the source stated.
The prosecutions, currently ongoing in various courts, are expected to serve as a deterrent to other public officers and reinforce confidence in the credibility of the examination process.
