Prof. Idia Nibokun Ize-Iyamu has marked her first 100 days in office as Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), a period widely described as one of rebranding, restructuring and renewed commitment to quality healthcare delivery.

Since assuming office, Prof. Ize-Iyamu has overseen visible improvements across various departments of the hospital, driving an agenda anchored on a culture of CARES, administrative reforms and enhanced staff welfare. Her leadership style, noted for its emphasis on selfless service and teamwork, has been credited for the renewed energy and direction within the institution.

In commemoration of the milestone, the hospital is expected to highlight the key achievements, reforms and breakthroughs recorded under her watch, as well as the strategic pathways being charted to strengthen healthcare standards and expand service delivery.

As UBTH reflects on these early gains, many staff and stakeholders say the past 100 days signal the beginning of a new era for the teaching hospital under Prof. Ize-Iyamu’s stewardship.
