Edo State University, Iyamho (ESUI) held its Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Orientation Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session, formally receiving newly admitted students into its JUPEB programme.
The orientation, which took place at the Tetfund Building, served as an official welcome and an informative session designed to prepare students for the academic journey ahead. University officials introduced participants to the institution’s academic structure, core expectations, and available student support services.
During the session, students were guided through key components of the JUPEB programme, including its syllabus, assessment procedures, and standards of academic discipline. Emphasis was placed on commitment, focus, and excellence as essential qualities for success in the intensive one-year programme.
The JUPEB programme offers students a direct pathway into 200-level undergraduate studies without the need to sit for the JAMB examination. Candidates are required to select three subjects relevant to their intended course of study.
At ESUI, the programme spans a wide range of faculties, including Law, Clinical Science, Applied Health Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Science, Engineering, Arts, Management, and Social Sciences, providing students with diverse academic progression opportunities.
The university reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality education and equipping JUPEB students with the academic foundation necessary for a seamless transition into undergraduate studies.
