THOUGHT FOR TODAY – Book of Revelation 21:4

We give thanks to God for the privilege of life and for counting us worthy to see another day in the land of the living. Hallelujah! Glory to God!

Scripture for Meditation.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

Book of Revelation 21:4

This powerful promise reveals a glorious future awaiting the redeemed. A time is coming when God Himself will intervene decisively on behalf of His blood-washed people.

Will you be among the redeemed on that day?

Let us reflect on what the Lord will do:

1. He Will Wipe Away All Tears

Whose tears?

The tears of those who wept over their sins.

Those who mourned when they stumbled and repented.

Those who suffered persecution for righteousness’ sake.

Those who were oppressed, cheated, maligned, or even killed because of their faith in Christ.

The prophet Isaiah declared:

“He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces…”

Book of Isaiah 25:8

What a glorious assurance! Hallelujah!

2. There Shall Be No More Death

Death, the last enemy, will be destroyed. In that day, we shall rejoice in the fullness of God’s salvation.

“Lo, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us…”

Book of Isaiah 25:9

Eternal life will replace mortality. Victory will replace fear. Hallelujah!

3. No More Sorrow, Crying, or Pain

All emotional and physical suffering will cease forever. The former things will pass away.

Remember the account of the rich man and Lazarus in

Gospel of Luke 16:19–31.

On earth, the rich man enjoyed comfort while Lazarus suffered. But eternity reversed their conditions. Lazarus was comforted, and the rich man was in torment.

Beloved, which side of eternity are you preparing for?

Time is moving swiftly. Eternity can begin for any of us at any moment.

Are you ready for the Lord’s divine intervention in your life?

Salvation is found in Christ alone:

“Neither is there salvation in any other…”

Acts of the Apostles 4:12

Come to Jesus today. Do not delay.

Prayer Points.

1. Offer thanksgiving, praise, and worship for God’s mercies upon your life and family.

2. Personalize and pray the promise of Book of Revelation 21:4 over your life.

3. Come before the Lord in sincere repentance and plead the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus.

4. Stand in the gap for your children, parents, and siblings, asking for mercy and salvation on their behalf.

5. Pray for missionaries in Mozambique, the Central African Republic, Minna (Niger State, Nigeria), and throughout North Africa.

6. Pray for Israel, for the peace of Jerusalem, and for the salvation of the Jewish people worldwide.

7. Pray for God’s mercy and divine deliverance over Nigeria.

Pray also for:

The leadership and vision of Intercessors for Nigeria.

All pastors and their families around the world.

May the hope of eternity strengthen your faith today and fill your heart with joyful expectation.

Shalom.
