The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced plans for the official declaration of Ede Dafinone as the party’s senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District.
According to a statement issued on Friday by the State Publicity Secretary, Valentine Onojeghuo, the invitation was conveyed on the directive of the State Vice Chairman and Chairman of Delta Central, Paulinus Akpeki.
The statement called on key party stakeholders across Delta Central to attend the event. Those invited include all members of the State Working Committee and State Executive Committee from the district, as well as Local Government Area (LGA) chairmen and their executive members across the eight LGAs. Ward chairmen and their executives in the district were also urged to be present.
The official declaration is scheduled to hold on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Oharisi Primary School in Ughelli, with proceedings set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
Onojeghuo emphasized the importance of unity and participation, noting that the gathering would reinforce support for the APC’s continued political strength in Delta Central. He added that the event aligns with the party’s “Renewed Hope for M.O.R.E. Agenda.”
Party leaders expressed optimism that the declaration would further consolidate the APC’s influence in the region ahead of future political engagements.lli
