Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has publicly expressed appreciation to her husband, Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan, for supporting her decision to contest the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial election.

In a message shared on her official Facebook page, the lawmaker revealed that her husband played a pivotal role in her decision to re-enter the race, including purchasing her nomination form.

Akpoti-Uduaghan stated that she would not have taken the step without his backing, noting that his support reflects a shared commitment to serving the people of Kogi Central.

“If you had said no, I would not have taken this step towards the 2027 Kogi Central Senatorial elections,” she wrote. “But you chose to stand firmly beside me… through the campaigns, through the elections, and all the way to victory for our people.”

She described his gesture as more than personal encouragement, saying it symbolises belief in a collective vision for democratic representation and community development.

The senator also acknowledged the challenges faced during the 2023 elections, commending her husband for remaining resolute despite past setbacks.

According to her, his actions demonstrate courage, faith, and a deep understanding of the sacrifices required in public service.

Akpoti-Uduaghan reaffirmed her commitment to contributing to national development through effective representation of Kogi Central, while expressing gratitude for her husband’s continued support.
