President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver a nationwide broadcast on Friday as part of activities marking Nigeria’s Democracy Day celebration.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the national address is scheduled to be broadcast at 7:00 a.m. on June 12.
The statement said the speech will be aired live on the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria.
Onanuga also called on all television and radio stations across the country to hook onto the NTA and Radio Nigeria network to transmit the President’s address to Nigerians.
The Democracy Day broadcast is expected to form part of the Federal Government’s commemoration of June 12, a date set aside to honour Nigeria’s democratic journey and the struggles that culminated in the country’s return to civil rule.
The President is expected to reflect on the state of the nation’s democracy and key developments under his administration during the address.
